The more Anet nerfs farming spots the more saturation you going to see in the left over spots.

To bots it really doesn't matter if its crap drops. 2 minute run at max and just leave the bot running. Sell everything that drops.

That would make sense because I've always wondered where they go to reset the troll/avicara drops. You know they've got to be doing this because if anyone has ever farmed those trolls/avicara, you'll know that the first couple days of farming those guys is great but after that it turns into absolute trash. I now use the troll/avicara run to help reset the other stuff I farm

Actually, on my VERY first elona run with my solo ele, I got a minatuar to drop a black dye. I can also kill the dune burrowers there (granted they die slowly due to healing spring, can't all be aggroed at once, and don't drop much).

I love the Elona run, and its sad that its come to this.

I consider it the most efficient farming run around. Its a 3 minute run with a total of gold in drops and white items from 300-800. A good 1 hour run will net you quite a lot.

Of course...i get bored after 5-6 runs. o.o

That's the thing about Elona, you can farm for half and hour and get enough out of it to not farm for the rest of the week. Yeah the drops aren't great, but it is so quick and easy that half an hour can yield a lot of runs.

I was hoping Elona would be somewhat safe because it was a mission area. Guess I was wrong

Do you have the slightest idea who these people ( yes: people ) are ??

i suggest you read this article :

http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/12/...ess/gaming.php

in full.

he only reason these people are there is that it is their job . They gather gold for those of us purchasing that gold from the sites . If there wasn't a demand to purchase gw-gold those folks wouldn't be there in the first place ( or at droknar , augury etc. ) . If you read that article you can also see what they themselves earn doing this : a measly US$250 /month .

Next question is : why do people want to purchase gold in the first place ??? I have yet to see anyone addressing this very basic question . Let's see :

- A-net introduced über-items ( greens ) and FoW armor to have some kind of "top -of- the game " rewards for dedicated players .

However ( and here's the reason gold is being sold ) : there is no accomplishment involved at all in acquiring these items . The only way to get your hands on FoW-armor or on some rare green is to farm those areas pretty much constantly ( no skill involved : going in- and - out all the time using same builds all the time ) to get "lucky" . This prevents people who play the game normally from ever getting their hands on those items .People who do normal questing, helping guildies etc. will never get FoW-armor because they don't farm constantly to get the materials or gold .

And this regardless of how much they have played , skillpoints,xp etc.

They are being "penalized" for playing normally . Those items are available only to those who:

- do nothing but farm ( the distinction between these people and bot-farmers is very hard to make , only difference is they don't get paid for it and they don't offer it on the net )
-are so disgusted in the end they decide to purchase gold of the net .

Check out deldrimor war camp local chat ( or TOA local chat ) , these places are filled with pro-farmers , and again: because they don't sell it for real cash on the net we accept it .Try getting someone to do an actual quest in those places !

If I ever see someone trying to "block" exits at droknar or any other place I'll pretty much tell him/her what I think of that in local chat .Those farmers are doing their job in ensuring a supply of glod because there is a demand for it .No demand = no need for pro-farmers .

So leave them alone .

The only way this can be remedied is to totally rethink the meaning of "accomplishment " .Would A-net care to explain to me what's so great ( in terms of skill , great playing etc. ) about going into UW/FoW time and time again , with exact same builds , not for doing quests but to harvest and farm ???

They have stated repeatedly they don't condone people soloing any area ( UW was prime example ) but at the same time they ensure the only way to amass materials or gold for FoW armor is to do exactly that.
I was unaware that bots were paid, or even had a need for money after they've been equipped with the proper skills and equipment to farm an area they're programmed for.

Gaile, any word on this? I've sent about 5 reports in. GROWING SICK OF THIS!

I know that Chinese farmers exist in every game, but this one is different because you guys are anti-farming and you don't want people running the same area! Ban the bots, or nerf the drops!

Preferrably the former! I'm sick and tired of being punished for the ignorance and lack of consideration of others.

yeah sure bots in Elona.. i hope for their owner that Factions ll include sets crafted with Minotaur Horns

btw i dont wanna see another nerf of drops or a change in monster spawning cauz of those jerks.. just ban em..thats all
if drops are nerfed.. bots are winning since they run 24/7

Hang out there for a while and notice the patterns and running into walls, and it will start to sink in a little.

i don't think you are correct too, it is much more like a dude is working for a local company to monitor all the bots.

and then the company will sell the golds to some well known gold trader site like ige.

The fact is a person isn't doing all the work. Someone did the work to make the program but that's it. You can't call letting a program run while you do whatever you want work or play for that matter.

The bots need to be banned I can't see how anyone would argue otherwise. It's not allowed simple as that. Or the majority of people would have a bot running when they weren't playing the game. As for drops i think the point is that they aren't great... as it obviously is going through and selling everything in their inventory so black dye to drop would be worth 25g or 10g or whatever it goes for to merchants.

a bot can tun 24/7. its a program that just does automaticly what its programmed to do (heal breese, prot spirit etc), so i "farmer" turns on the PC, runs the bot, and goes back to sleep, while the bot is doin money. few days, and you get 100k

Every MMO has problems like this. I think recently WoW deleted over like 60,000 accts because of dupped items and hacking. Garbage with gold in games always happens like this. But instead of nerfing farming all together, they should just eliminate the possibilities of bots...
